Following her arrival in Cincinnati in 1974 from the Pacific Northwest, Christine became actively involved in her new home making significant civic and charitable contributions after she shelved her post-graduate degree in Special Education and began molding a career in real estate. Her involvement in the renaissance of the city's downtown has become legendary as she's tirelessly focused on the development of quality housing for those of every economic level. Downtown Living has become her hallmark as she's persisted in her quest to make the center city the thriving area it once was.
An integral part of Christine's pursuit was the Spring, 2005 opening of Huff Realty's Metropolitan Office where she hand-picked a team of realtors who embody the same passion and devotion for invigorating the pulse of Cincinnati's downtown.
Christine married George Verkamp in Rome, Italy in April, 2004 and shares in grandparenting three granddaughters and five grandsons. She's an avid outdoors person with one marathon to her credit. With a love for biking, she's done ten years of bike touring on three continents.
